A booking cannot be confirmed until the booking form, acceptance of these terms and conditions and a 30% non-refundable deposit are returned to me, duly completed and signed.
On receipt of your deposit, a Holiday Booking Acknowledgement form will be returned to you.
The balance due for the rental period must be paid preferably eight weeks preceding your arrival. Any delay not previously agreed, may result in cancellation of the booking.
In the event that the booking is made during the eight weeks preceding arrival of the tenant, the total rental charge is payable upon acceptance of the booking.
A security deposit of 250€ is required to cover any damage or loss during the rental period. The inventory will be checked upon your departure and your deposit will be returned within two weeks.
Any cancellation on the part of the tenant must be made to the owner of the property at the earliest convenience. If cancellation is made within the eight week period prior to arrival of the tenant, the tenant remains liable for the full cost of the rental period reserved. It is therefore important that holiday insurance is taken out to cover this eventuality.
Guests should arrive on the first day of rental after 1600hrs and must vacate the property on their departure date no later 1030hrs.
The tenant will be responsible for maintaining the property, furniture,furnishings, fittings and equipment in the same state and position as they were found on arrival. The owner does not accept pets and smoking is not allowed inside the house.
The tenants are responsible for the loss or damage to any items made available as part of the tenancy. If the cost of the repair or replacement exceeds the damage deposit paid, the tenant remains liable for the difference between the security deposit and the total cost of the repair.
The owner cannot be held responsible during the holiday rental period for:
- Loss or theft of property belonging to the tenants.
- Death or injury to the tenants.
- Any impediment caused to full enjoyment of the property and facilities resulting from force majueure, storms, fire, accident, warfare, strikes, governmental or administrative decisions etc.
It is strongly recommended that your stay in the gite is covered by your holiday insurance.
